What Messages Are Sent

When you subscribe to SMS alerts, you will receive text messages for:

• Bar status change alerts — Notifications when a bar you follow changes status (e.g., Open, Restricted, Closed) or when restrictions change
• Verification codes — A one-time code to verify your phone number when you first sign up

How to Opt In

To receive SMS bar condition alerts, use the sign-up form above:

1. Enter your US mobile phone number in the form above
2. Select a bar you want to monitor from the dropdown
3. Check the consent box and tap Subscribe
4. Enter the 6-digit verification code we text to your phone

You can also manage SMS alerts from your account page after signing in.

You will only receive alerts for bars you have individually opted in to.

Message Frequency

Approximately 1 to 10 messages per day, depending on how many bars you follow and how often conditions change. Bar conditions are checked every 15 minutes and you are only notified when a status actually changes. If conditions are stable, you may receive no messages on a given day.

Consent

By providing your phone number and opting in to SMS alerts on PNW Bar Info, you consent to receive automated text messages from PNW Bar Info at the phone number you provide. Consent is not a condition of purchase or use of the service. You may opt out at any time.

How to Opt Out

You can stop receiving SMS alerts at any time by:

• Replying STOP to any message from PNW Bar Info
• Disabling SMS alerts on individual bar subscriptions from your Account page
• Removing your phone number from your Account page

Opt-In Flow Screenshots

The following screenshots show how users opt in to SMS alerts on PNW Bar Info. The opt-in form is on a logged-in account page.

Step 1: Phone Number & Consent Checkbox

Users enter their US mobile phone number and must check an explicit consent checkbox before saving. The checkbox is unchecked by default.

Step 2: OTP Verification Code

After saving their phone number with consent, users receive a 6-digit verification code via SMS and must enter it to complete verification.

Step 3: Per-Bar SMS Toggle

After phone verification, users can enable SMS alerts for individual bar subscriptions. Each subscription has its own SMS toggle.
